SD Intertribal Wind Project Gets Boost from Apple

One of the country’s leading technology companies plans to lend its expertise to South Dakota’s Oceti Sakowin Power Authority (OSPA). Apple will provide training and networking assistance for the power authority, paving the way for new wind projects in reservations across the state. OSPA plans to sell energy from this initiative to government agencies and corporations, with revenue returning to the Oglala, Rosebud, Cheyenne River, Standing Rock, Yankton, and Flandreau Santee Sioux Tribes.
