2019 report shows South Dakota had country’s largest percentage increase in wind growth

Wind energy is now the largest source of renewable electricity in the U.S., generating more than 7 percent of the country’s electricity in 2019. South Dakota saw the country’s largest percentage growth of wind energy, increasing its installed wind capacity by more than 50 percent last year.
